Postmark

Privacy Policy — Kasht
Version 1.0 · Last updated:
Kasht is an app for finding desert camping spots in Saudi Arabia, provided by Mithaq Compliance LLC in Riyadh. This policy explains what data we collect and why, what is published for everyone, who sees data, how long we keep it, and how to delete your account.
In short
- You can use the map, tracks, private pins and trips without an account, and all of it stays on your phone.
- You need an account only to share photos or suggest spots, or to report or hide content. We keep your email address for your account, and we never ask for your name.
- When you suggest a spot, we receive where you placed its pin. Your own position reaches us only through “My current position” — which a suggestion starts on when precise location is allowed.
- Kasht uploads a fresh copy of each photo, made on your phone, without where or when it was taken or any device details; your original photo isn’t changed.
- The Kasht team reviews everything we receive before it is published, and neither your name nor your account appears on anything published.
- Your published photos and spots stay after you delete your account, unlinked from you. Everything else linked to your account is deleted or unlinked from it, apart from copies kept for a limited time, set out under “How long we keep data”.
- No ads, no analytics or tracking tools, and we never send notifications to your phone from our servers.
Who we are
Kasht is a service provided by Mithaq Compliance LLC (Commercial Registration No. 7054299107; national address: 145 Street, Al-Yasmin District, Riyadh 13322, Saudi Arabia), based in Riyadh, which is responsible for your personal data in Kasht (the “controller” under the Personal Data Protection Law). For any question about your data or this policy, write to us at privacy@kasht.app.
Your location
Kasht uses your location on your phone: to show where you are on the map, calculate distances, record tracks you choose to record, follow a saved track back, save a private pin where you’re standing, show your coordinates on the emergency screen, and place the pin of a spot you suggest with “My current position”.
Your location is sent to us in one case only: when you send a spot suggestion with “My current position” — which a suggestion starts on when precise location is allowed. We then receive with the suggestion the pin’s coordinates — where you were at the reading — the reading’s accuracy in metres, and its time. Kasht accepts only a reading no more than two minutes old, with an error under 50 metres. If you choose “Place it on the map”, we receive only the point under the pin, with no accuracy or time — and the pin starts at your position when precise location is allowed, so move the map until it sits on the place. Photos you send carry no location. If your suggestion is published, the pin, as the team reviewed it, becomes a public pin on the map (see “What everyone can see”).
Kasht only uses your location in the background while a recording you started is running. Recording continues with the screen off, and a notification shows that it’s running if you’ve allowed notifications. Kasht keeps no log of where you’ve been other than the tracks you record yourself, and your position in each suggestion you send with “My current position”, and the reading’s time until the suggestion is decided (see “How long we keep data”).
What we collect, and why
The map, tracks and trips work without the internet. When you’re online, Kasht connects to our server so that published spots and photos reach you, and so that sharing and accounts work. This is what reaches us, and why:
When you use Kasht without an account
When you open the app, when you return to it while online, and when your connection comes back, Kasht downloads the published spots and photos from our server, and anything we show in the app under “From Kasht” (see “Changes”). These requests carry no account ID and no identifier of your device; our server receives your connection’s IP address, as with any internet connection (see “Server logs” under “How long we keep data”). Your phone downloads larger photos of the spots you saved and of the destinations of your current and upcoming trips so they work offline, and when you open a spot while online its photos are fetched from our server. So those photo requests may reflect the spots you saved or browse, though they carry nothing that identifies your account.
Your account
- Email address: to sign in, and to send you account emails: confirming your email, resetting your password, the account-deletion link, and security notices such as a password change.
- Password: our server never keeps the password itself, only a one-way fingerprint of it (a hash) from which it can’t be recovered, and the app never stores it on your phone.
- A random ID that identifies your account, and administrative details about it: its role (an ordinary account or the Kasht team’s), how many items it has sent, when it was created, when your email was confirmed, and when you last signed in.
- Your agreement record: the version of the terms of use you agreed to, and when you agreed to each of the two things the “Before you share” screen asks for: the terms of use, and that what is published from your contributions, including where you put the pin, stays on Kasht without your name. When something from your contributions is published, we keep with it a copy of the version and the date you agreed, unlinked from your account (see “The licence record”).
- Signing in with Google, if you choose it: we keep only your email and your Google account identifier, and remove the name and picture Google sends. But the sign-in server’s log records your Google account’s name with each Google sign-in, and it is deleted with the log after 30 days (see “Server logs”).
- We don’t ask for your name, and your account has no name stored.
Sign-in sessions
A sign-in session is what keeps you signed in on a device. Each device you sign in on has a session, in which our server keeps when it started and was last used, and the IP address and device or browser type of its last use. We use it to keep you signed in and to protect your account. On your phone, the session keys are stored encrypted with a key held by Android (the Keystore), so a copy of them is useless on another device.
While you’re signed in, each time you open Kasht or return to it online, it asks our server for your hidden list using your account; it asks for the status of your contributions when you open “My contributions”, or when you return to the app while one is waiting for a decision; and it renews your session when needed. So our server can tell when your account is in use, and from which IP address.
What you share for publication
- Photos, from “Camera” or “Photo library”: Kasht makes a fresh copy of every photo on your phone before uploading it, so no place or time of capture and no device information remains in it, Kasht never reads that data at all, and your original photo isn’t changed. Up to 5 photos with each suggestion.
- The spot you suggest: its name and where you placed its pin, and anything you choose to add: access, ground, dirt-track length, coverage for each mobile carrier, wind, season, whether a permit is needed, and a description.
- How the pin was placed: “My current position” with the reading’s accuracy and time, or “Place it on the map” without them (see “Your location”). Only the Kasht team sees the accuracy and reading time; they are never published, and we delete them once the suggestion is decided.
- The record of each contribution: its kind, the spot it belongs to, when you sent it, its status, our decision and its reason, and the team’s note or question if there is one. You see it in “My contributions”.
We use these to review what we receive and publish what fits, and to show you the status of your contributions.
What the Kasht team sees when reviewing
In the review tool, the team sees what you sent, a short tag for your account (# and the first four characters of your account ID), the account’s age in days, how many contributions you sent before and how many were published, and whether the account is restricted from sharing. The tool never shows the team your email address; whoever runs the server technically can access everything it stores, emails included. The tool shows automatic hints, such as a published spot nearby or many contributions from one account in a day, but a person on the team makes every decision.
Reports and hiding
- A report: the photo or spot you reported, the reason you chose, your sentence if you chose “Something else”, and when you reported. The team sees the reporter only by their short tag, and we never tell the person whose content it is who reported it.
- Hiding: when you choose “Hide everything this contributor shares”, we keep the photo or spot you hid from and the contributor behind it. That contributor’s identity stays on the server only: it is never sent to you or to anyone else. The team sees which accounts hide the most, by their short tags, never whom they hid.
- A temporary record of each report and hide (the account, the kind and the time, without the content) to apply the daily limits, and the number of contributors you’ve hidden since you created your account.
We use these to review reported content, to hide from you what you don’t want to see, and to prevent misuse of both features.
Restricting an account from sharing
If we restrict an account from sharing, we record the reason and an internal note its owner doesn’t see in the app. If a restricted account is deleted, we keep for two years (730 days) after the deletion the restriction record without the internal note, a fingerprint of its email (a hash) that can be matched against the email but from which the email can’t be extracted, and the list of what it published, so it can’t come back with the same email, and so we can still remove what it published. If a restricted account changes its email, we keep the same kind of fingerprint of the old one. Anyone who tries to create an account with a restricted account’s email is refused with the same general message Kasht shows whenever a request fails for a reason it doesn’t name; it doesn’t mention the restriction and invites them to write to us. The refusal itself still differs from a normal sign-up, which ends by asking for the email to be confirmed or, with “Continue with Google”, by signing in straight away. We keep none of this when an account that isn’t restricted is deleted.
What everyone can see
What the Kasht team publishes becomes public: it’s shown to everyone who uses the app, and anyone can view and copy it.
- The spot’s details as the team approved them — the team may edit them before publishing — including its place on the map: the place you sent, after the team reviews it, and possibly adjusts it. If you used “My current position”, the place you stood becomes a public pin on the map. The spot is publicly recorded as coming from a visitor’s suggestion, with the date it was published, not the date you sent it.
- Published photos, after the review tool re-encodes them in three sizes.
- Never published: your name, your email, your account ID, who sent what, the reading’s accuracy and time, or when you sent it.
- If a spot is removed or unpublished, its two identifiers (full and short) and the time are recorded in a public list the app reads to drop it from the list of spots on phones, and its short identifier is never used for another spot. This list stays public permanently, whatever the reason for the removal, and a short identifier can be made from the spot’s name, so the list may show what a removed spot was called. Removed photos are recorded there too, by their identifiers.
- Nothing visitors share carries a name. The only names that may appear: the photographer’s name and the photo’s licence on photos Kasht publishes itself, and the name of the person who visited a spot and checked its location, if the Kasht team records it.
What hiding reveals
If someone hides what you share, they no longer see your published photos and spots — and so they can tell which published photos and spots come from one contributor, including what is published from you later, for as long as the hide lasts. They may also be able to tell that a photo or spot belongs to a deleted account or to the Kasht team. They don’t learn your name or your email, and we never tell you that someone hid what you share.
Legal bases
This is the legal basis for each purpose in this policy, under the Personal Data Protection Law:
- Performing our agreement with you (the terms of use): your account, signing in, sign-in sessions and account emails; receiving and reviewing your contributions and showing their status in “My contributions”; and carrying out the reports and hides you ask for.
- Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time: sending your position when you choose “My current position” in a spot suggestion, and publishing what is accepted from your contributions, including where you put the pin, without your name, as you agree on the “Before you share” screen. To withdraw your consent: choose “Place it on the map” instead of “My current position”; delete from “My contributions” anything not yet decided, and its content is deleted at once; ask us to remove a published photo you sent, using “Report” or by writing to us, and we remove it once we can confirm you sent it; or delete your account, after which nothing published stays linked to you (see “Deleting your account”).
- A legitimate interest of ours that does not override your rights and interests, namely: sending published spots and photos to phones, including those of people who use Kasht without an account; reviewing reported content and preventing misuse of Kasht; restricting accounts from sharing or ending them, and what we keep after a restricted account is deleted (see “Restricting an account from sharing”); protecting the server and accounts with server logs, backups and disk snapshots; and replying to your emails to us.
- Complying with a legal requirement: if a competent public authority lawfully requests data we hold, we disclose it to the extent required. We also answer your requests about the rights listed under “Your choices and rights”.
Kasht doesn’t ask for any sensitive data as the Personal Data Protection Law defines it (such as health data, religious belief or biometric data), and we don’t seek to process it. Location is not sensitive data under that law, but it is still your personal data, so it reaches us only as described under “Your location”.
What’s stored on your phone
These stay on your phone only, and are never sent to us: your recorded tracks, private pins, saved spots, planned trips and gear lists (with any names you add to items), your settings, and the offline map.
Kasht also keeps on your phone what the online features need:
- A copy of the published spots and photos so they work offline; its photos take up 100 MB at most.
- Your sign-in details: your email and account ID in the app’s private storage, and the session keys, encrypted as described above.
- What you’re preparing to share or what is waiting to be sent: the fields, the pin and the re-encoded photos; then small thumbnails of what you sent, shown in “My contributions”.
- A copy of your account’s state: your agreement, what you’ve hidden, and the daily limits.
Kasht turns off Android’s backup and device-to-device transfer, so your data isn’t copied to any cloud service — which also means you may lose it when you change phones.
You can delete your tracks, private pins and trips inside the app. Signing out deletes your account data and anything not yet sent from your phone, after warning you. If you’re signed out without asking (after 180 days without use, after a password reset, or after your account was deleted in a browser or on another device), your email and what is waiting to be sent stay on your phone: it is sent when you sign in to the same account, and if you deleted your account it stays until you delete it from “My contributions” or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Kasht deletes everything it stored on your phone, but it doesn’t delete your account or anything you sent us (see “Deleting your account”).
What you share yourself through other apps
Kasht sends nothing to another app unless you choose to:
- The emergency WhatsApp message to the Enjad rescue team includes your current location, and you’re the one who taps send.
- “Open in Google Maps” and “Search near this spot” (fuel and hospitals) send the shown spot’s coordinates — never your own position — to Google Maps or your default maps app (or to the Google Maps website in your browser if you have no maps app). For a spot whose location is verified, “Open in Google Maps” also sends its public name.
- Tapping one of your private pins in “My pins” opens it in Google Maps or your default maps app (or on the Google Maps website in your browser if you have no maps app) with its coordinates only — never its name.
- Calling an emergency number goes through your phone app.
- Sharing a trip sends a message Kasht writes — the trip’s name and date, the destination with details about it (including sunset and Maghrib times) and a Google Maps link, and your gear list with any names you’ve added — through the app you choose. A trip to one of your private pins is shared without its location.
- Tapping your coordinates on the emergency screen copies them to your clipboard. If WhatsApp isn’t installed or won’t open, “Copy message” copies the emergency message, with your location, instead.
- The photo source and licence links — in “Photo credits” and on the photo itself when you view it — and “Map data from OpenStreetMap” in Settings open those pages in your browser.
- “Camera” opens your phone’s camera app; the photo then comes back to Kasht, which makes a fresh copy of it as described above. The camera app’s own settings apply to the photo there.
Those apps’ own privacy policies apply.
Who else handles data
We use these parties to run Kasht:
- Google Cloud: Kasht runs on a virtual server in Google Cloud’s Dammam region (me-central2), inside Saudi Arabia, which holds the database and the photos; its disk snapshots and backups are kept in Google Cloud in the same region. Another system, Mithaq GRC, runs on the same server, and it is run by the same company that provides Kasht, Mithaq Compliance LLC; so whoever administers the server can technically access Kasht’s data on it and in its disk snapshots.
- Postmark (AC PM, LLC, United States): sends account emails on our behalf, as our processor, under the data processing addendum that forms part of its terms of service. We use it to deliver your account emails: confirming your email or an email change, resetting your password, the account-deletion link and security notices. It receives only your email address and each email’s subject and text, including the one-time link; our emails contain no images, and Postmark’s open and link tracking is switched off. Postmark keeps a record of these emails for 45 days (see “How long we keep data”).
- Google: if you choose to sign in with Google, the sign-in step happens at Google, which acts there as an independent controller of your Google account data: it processes that data for its own purposes, under its own terms and privacy policy, not on our behalf. We receive your email and your Google account identifier from it, and your name and profile picture, which we don’t keep in your account (see “What we collect, and why”).
- Public map services: when reviewing a suggested spot, the Kasht team may look up its location in a public map service such as Google Maps or Google Earth. Only the place is looked up, never who suggested it.
- Namecheap and Google (Google Workspace): your emails to us — your address, your message and anything you attach — pass through Namecheap’s email forwarding into a Google Workspace mailbox, possibly outside Saudi Arabia. We use them only to receive your emails and reply to them. Google processes your emails as our processor, under Google Workspace’s data processing terms, and Namecheap’s own terms apply to its forwarding (see “Emailing us”).
Kasht’s server, its disk snapshots and its backups are inside Saudi Arabia; the other parties above may process some of your data outside it. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it for advertising.
How long we keep data
- Your account (email, password fingerprint, account ID and its administrative details, agreement record, Google identifier if any)
- Until you delete your account or we end it, apart from what is kept of your agreement record with what is published (see “The licence record”). An account whose email was never confirmed and that was never used is deleted 7 days after it was created.
- Sign-in sessions (IP address and device type)
- Until you sign out, reset your password, or 180 days pass without use (it is then deleted the next day), or you delete your account.
- Your contributions and their records (including the pin, the reading’s accuracy and time, and our decisions)
- For as long as your account exists, except as follows. Once a contribution is decided — published, added to an existing spot or not accepted — we delete the reading’s accuracy and time from it. A question from the team isn’t a decision, but if you don’t answer it within 90 days, we close the contribution as not accepted. If a contribution isn’t accepted, or is added to an existing spot, we delete what you sent in it 90 days after the decision, except what was published from it; its record stays — its kind, the spot it belongs to, when you sent it, its status, our decision and its reason, and the team’s note if there is one — so you can see it in “My contributions”. If you delete a contribution that hasn’t been decided yet, its content is deleted at once and its photos’ links stop working; the photo files are erased from the disk as in the next row, and a trace that it was deleted stays for 90 days, then that trace is deleted.
- Photos waiting for review
- Deleted when they are decided, when you delete them, or when your account is deleted, so their links stop working; their files are then erased from the disk in the nightly clean-up. If sending a contribution stops after its photos were uploaded, Kasht carries on sending it with the same photos for as long as the contribution is on your phone. If you delete it from “My contributions”, its uploaded photos are deleted once your phone is online; if you sign out, they are deleted at once if you’re online, otherwise at your next sign-in to the same account on the same phone. If the contribution is no longer on your phone for another reason (such as uninstalling the app), its uploaded photos are deleted at your account’s next send at least an hour after they were uploaded, or when you delete your account, and they stay until then.
- What is published
- Until we unpublish or remove it; it stays after you delete your account, unlinked from you. If we unpublish a spot for a while, its photos stay on the server, and someone who has the link to one of them can still open it; removing a spot or photo stops its links working. Phones that saved a spot that was removed keep their copy of it (its name and place, in saved spots or trips), with a line saying it’s no longer on Kasht, and Kasht can’t ask them to delete it.
- The licence record
- With each photo or spot published from your contributions, we keep — in a record that is never published and that the review tool doesn’t show — the version of the terms of use you had agreed to when you sent it, and the date you agreed, as proof of the licence you gave Kasht. This record is kept permanently, unlinked from your account, even if what was published is removed or you delete your account.
- The list of what was removed or unpublished
- Permanently; it is public, whatever the reason for the removal.
- Reports
- For as long as your account exists, open or reviewed. When you delete your account, your reviewed reports are deleted; your open ones are kept permanently, linked to no one, even after they are reviewed.
- Hiding
- Until you undo it or delete your account. The number of contributors you’ve hidden since you created your account stays until you delete your account, even if you undo a hide. If the contributor you hid deletes their account, what they published stays hidden from you. The temporary record of each report and hide is deleted after 8 days.
- Restricting an account
- While the account exists, until the restriction is lifted. After a restricted account is deleted: the restriction record without the internal note, the email fingerprint and the list of what it published, for two years (730 days), then they are deleted.
- The Kasht team’s decision log
- Permanently, and it can’t be changed. It holds no email and no contribution content apart from spot details as published. But next to the spots published from your suggestions, and next to restriction decisions if your account was restricted, it keeps your account’s short tag. Once your account is deleted, nothing links that tag to you, except in backups and server logs until they are erased or overwritten.
- Database backups
- One copy each night, deleted after 35 days; Google usually carries out the deletion within a day after that. They hold everything in the database, including emails and sign-in sessions.
- Data-disk snapshots
- A daily snapshot holding the photos, including those waiting for review, and a copy of the database and of the sign-in server’s log, deleted after 14 days.
- Server logs
- The sign-in server logs every request to it with the IP address, and every sign-up, sign-in and session renewal (about once an hour while the app is open) with the time, the IP address and the email address; this may also include the account ID and the device type, and your Google account’s name if you sign in with Google. What this log holds is deleted after 30 days; a copy of it stays in the daily disk snapshots for at most 14 days after that, so 44 days at most from when it was written. The server’s gateway logs every request to Kasht’s API: its time, the address requested, the result, the size and the app or browser type; a photo upload’s address contains your account ID, so this log shows when your photos were uploaded. The photo storage service may log requests too, and the nightly clean-up’s report may list file paths that contain an account ID. Any other server log that holds an IP address is also cleared within 30 days at most; logs that hold no IP address are overwritten once they reach a set size — after weeks to months. These logs remain after you delete your account until they are deleted or overwritten.
- Postmark’s record of emails
- 45 days, then Postmark deletes it; this can take up to 7 days. After that, Postmark still keeps an address that an email bounced from, or whose owner marked one of our emails as spam, on its list of addresses not to send to.
- Your emails with us
- Deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
- Data on your phone
- Until you delete it, sign out (account data and what is waiting to be sent), or uninstall the app. If you’re signed out without asking, your email and what is waiting to be sent stay on your phone (see “What’s stored on your phone”).
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or in a browser at kasht.app/delete: with your email and password, or with a deletion link we email you if you can’t sign in.
If we end an account that breaks the terms of use, we restrict it from sharing and then delete it: what is deleted and what stays is the same as for a restricted account deleted by its owner, as set out below.
Deleted
Your account, email and sign-in, your sign-in sessions, everything waiting for review, the records of your contributions, the account-linked record of your agreement to the terms of use, the contributors you hid and their count, your reviewed reports, and anything not yet sent from the device you deleted the account on. If you delete it in a browser or on another device, what is waiting to be sent stays on your phone until you delete it from “My contributions” or uninstall the app.
Stays
Published photos and spots, without your name and unlinked from your account, each with the version of the terms of use you agreed to and the date you agreed, as proof of the licence; your open reports, permanently, linked to no one; your account’s short tag in the decision log, permanently, with nothing linking it to you; and the tracks and private pins on your phone.
Kept for a while
Backups for up to 35 days and about a day after; disk snapshots for up to 14 days; the sign-in server’s log, and any log that holds an IP address, for up to 30 days (the sign-in log’s last copy, in a disk snapshot, up to 14 days after that); other server logs until they are overwritten; Postmark’s record of emails sent to you, for 45 days, and deleting it can take up to 7 days after that; and the files of photos that were waiting for review, until the nightly clean-up.
If your account was restricted from sharing, we keep the restriction record, your email fingerprint and the list of what you published for two years after the deletion, and during that time the same email can’t be used for a new account.
To ask for a published photo to be removed, use “Report” on the photo or write to us. Anyone who appears in a published photo can write to us to have it removed, even without an account. Uninstalling the app doesn’t delete your account.
Your choices and rights
- You can use the map, tracks, private pins and trips without an account, and everything that needs an account is optional.
- You can suggest a spot without giving Kasht your location: choose “Place it on the map” and move the map until the pin sits on the place — the pin starts at your position when precise location is allowed.
- You can delete what is waiting for review from “My contributions”: it is deleted from your phone and from Kasht, and its photo files are erased in the nightly clean-up.
- “Report” on any published photo or spot, and “Hide everything this contributor shares”. You’ll find whom you hid under Settings › “Hidden contributors”, where you can show them again.
- Access, correction and a copy: “My contributions” shows what you sent and our decisions on it. To ask for a copy of the data linked to your account, or to correct it, write to us from the email address on your account, and we answer within 30 days of receiving your request, sending the copy in a commonly used electronic format. If a request needs unexpected or unusual extra effort, or you send several, we may extend this once, by up to 30 more days, and we’ll tell you before the first 30 days are up, with the reason.
- Deletion: see “Deleting your account”.
- Withdrawing your consent: see “Legal bases”.
- You may also complain to the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), the authority responsible for the Personal Data Protection Law, through the “Submit a personal data complaint” service on the National Data Governance Platform.
Children
Kasht is not directed at children, and no one under 18 may create an account. When you create an account, you confirm that you’re 18 or older, but the app doesn’t check this, so if you learn that a child has created an account, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Security
- Connections between the app and our server, and between your browser and kasht.app, are encrypted (HTTPS).
- We never keep passwords, only a one-way fingerprint of them (a hash).
- Your data on the phone is kept in the app’s private storage, which other apps can’t access, and the session keys are encrypted with a key held by Android.
- Photos waiting for review aren’t public, and the team opens them only through links that expire within 5 minutes.
- The team signs in to the review tool in two steps: a password and a code from an authenticator app.
- From outside the server, a team account’s password or authenticator can be changed only with a fresh code from that same authenticator app.
- Backups are kept in private, non-public storage.
No system is perfectly secure. If personal data is leaked, damaged or accessed unlawfully in a way that could harm the data or the people it belongs to, or conflict with their rights or interests, the law requires us to notify the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, and to tell the people whose data it is without undue delay, in plain language: what happened, the risks, what we have done and what they can do. We can reach a particular person only through the email address on their account.
No ads, no tracking tools
Kasht has no ads, analytics, crash reporting or third-party tracking tools, and it doesn’t use the advertising ID. We never send notifications to your phone from our servers: Kasht’s only notifications come from the app itself, and are about a track recording.
The kasht.app pages use no cookies and no analytics, and load nothing from other sites. The account pages store nothing in your browser, except a temporary code for ten minutes in the same tab when you use “Continue with Google”.
Emailing us
If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply, and delete the conversation within 12 months of our last contact. Your emails to privacy@kasht.app and support@kasht.app reach us through Namecheap’s email forwarding into one Google Workspace mailbox, and we reply from that mailbox. Google processes your emails there as our processor, under Google Workspace’s data processing terms.
Account emails — confirmation, password reset, the deletion link and security notices — reach you through Postmark from a no-reply address at mail.kasht.app. They contain no images, and Postmark’s open and link tracking is switched off, so Postmark records neither whether you opened an email nor whether you tapped a link in it, and the links take you straight to Kasht’s own pages.
Permissions
Changes
If we change this policy, we publish the new version here and update its number and date above. If the change is material, we tell you about it in the app before it takes effect; you’ll see it when you open the app while online. If we change the terms of use, the app asks you to agree to the new version before you share again.
